Creative Campus Initiative is pleased to announce the launch of their Phase two programme with 12 University partners, a host of new collaborations and a powerful portfolio of contemporary art works in the making.
We are particularly pleased to showcase our four flagship projects that will be developed with partners across the region.
Town of Runners – a film and digital media project connecting young people from the UK with athletes in Bekoji, Ethiopia.
1908 Collaborative Residencies – led by Lightning Ensemble, a circus and theatre arts project that will bring together students from across the discipline dividers.
Iron Gym – a sculptural heritage project that uses Participatory Action Research models to engage people in the design of their own healthy living agenda
Art of Demonstration – led by Periplum, this is a street theatre, visual arts and political science inquiry that will explode onto streets and campuses in the run up to London 2012
Phase 2 also features a major partnership project with Turning Point South East entitled Prospectus. The programme seeks to engage visual arts communities in the process of heightened critique and academic discussion and will work in response to the Turning Point 2012 Relay commissions.
Alongside the commissions we will also be taking Phase 1 works on an exhibition tour across the South East, including a showcase programme at Gatwick that runs until September 2012.
