University of Portsmouth
The University of Portsmouth has developed projects which strengthen links with the wider community on both a regional and international level. The BBC Big Screen and the Guildhall Square Live Site have become a platform for many of the projects allowing the University to engage with a diverse range of people with high quality and inspiring activities. In particular, The University of Portsmouth is keen that the Creative Campus Initiative creates an opportunity to focus on areas such as multiculturalism, diversity and disability. Please contact:

Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries 'Space Offsite' Programme in partnership with aspex and Havant College, St Vincent College, Portsmouth College, Highbury College, Chichester College, Fareham College and South Downs College.
New Creatives is an artist-led joint exhibition at Aspex of work by students from seven local further education and sixth form colleges. Creative works are shown on the theme of 'Courage and Determination', in a variety of disciplines, visual arts, performance, music and film.
New Creatives is one of the outstanding projects granted the London 2012 Inspire mark, the badge of the London 2012 Inspire programme, which recognises exceptional and innovative projects inspired by the 2012 Games.
New Creatives commissioned artists are Dawn Burnham, Patti Gaal-Holmes and Melanie Rose. University of Portsmouth student artist buddies are Katie Beltrami studying BA (Hons) Illustration and Laura Fazackerley studying BA (Hons) Photography.
The New Creatives project generates relationships, collaborations and a range of materials and interventions that are shown or performed as part of a work in progress producing a legacy of creative partnership in the city of Portsmouth and surrounding region.
The project encourages an exchange of ideas and 'visual correspondence' between the university, aspex and the colleges which has resulted in the development of co-working for a variety of projects such as the Cultural Olympiad and Creative Campus.
