Winchester Film Festival
Winchester Film Festival
Where: Sparkford Road, Winchester
When: 11-13 June
The Winchester Film Festival includes an international student film competition that responds to the Olympic theme of 'welcoming the world', and a short film competition for 14-19 year olds across Hampshire based specifically on the theme of Olympic sports. The Winchester Film Festival as a whole offers the opportunity for the public to enjoy screenings of both popular classic and 'art house' films in a range of appropriate venues across the city of Winchester and the surrounding district: in a forest, a country manor and other unusual locations. It could be described as site-specific cinema. Through attending these screenings, the public will also see selected entries to the two competitions.
